Distance courses should continue to use ProctorU’s live-launch service.

Take advantage of technologies that use low-stakes assessments to enact instructional approaches based in the science of learning, for instance, by using open-book Canvas quizzes to promote spaced practice or alternative assessments (e.g., Canvas discussions, essays, or projects) to encourage elaboration and deeper conceptual understanding.

Faculty are able to:

• Have exams proctored quickly
• Have students take exams 24/7
• Choose what resources, if any, your students can have during the exam Allow bathroom breaks

Faculty are not able to:

• Have multiple quiz attempts – each one counts as a separate attempt in ProctorU.
• Use ProctorU Auto for weekly quizzes – it should only be used for High Stakes Midterms and Finals.
• Have items students need to upload in the exam.
