Introduction to LockDown Browser with Canvas New Quizzes
Respondus with New Quizzes
Allow Students to View New Quizzes Results
There are two options when allowing students to view Canvas New Quiz results when using Respondus LockDown Browser; allow students to view the results in LockDown Browser or allow students to view the results from the Canvas gradebook.
Note: These steps are only needed if Respondus LockDown Browser was required for a New Quiz.
Add a link to the New Quiz in a course module.
Students click on the link and are prompted to open LockDown Browser. Students will see all the items you have allowed them to see under the “Restrict student results view” in the new quiz settings.
Note: If using this option, it is recommended to set an Available Until date on the New Quiz. This way, students won’t be able to submit the quiz without the LockDown Browser requirement.
Note: You will not be able to view the Respondus Monitor videos or statistics when “Don’t require Respondus LockDown Browser” is checked.
After the Available Until date has passed, disable the LockDown browser requirement by clicking on the LockDown Browser navigation on the left menu. Click on the quiz dropdown menu and select settings. Check the “Don’t require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam” option, then click the Save + Close button.
Students will now be able to view their exam results when they click on Grades in Canvas.
